A presentation on
Birds of the Rush Riverside Refuge
by Ted D. Barnett, MD

Dr. Barnett is a diagnostic and interventional radiologist with Borg & Ide Imaging, as well as the founder of Rochester Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Barnett is an avid birder and photographer who will share his photos and his tales of identifying birds in Rush by sight and sound.

Birds seen or heard at the Rush Riverside Refuge include specialties such as: Scarlet tanager, Yellow warbler, Wood thrush, Rose-breasted grosbeak, Great crested flycatcher, Eastern pewee, and Rufous-sided towhee.

WHERE: At the Rush United Methodist Church, 6200 Rush-Lima Road, Rush, NY 14543.

After the presentation, we will introduce the newly-formed Rush Recreation and Park Association, Inc.

ADVANCE NOTICE: A bird walk at the 100 Acres of the Rush Riverside Refuge will be led by Ted Barnett on Saturday October 27 starting at 9:00 AM (the birds get up early!). Park and meet on Route 251, just west of the Railroad Museum.
